Content Marketing: How to Become a Teacher in Virginia
At the UVA School of Education and Human Development, I collaborated with our Marketing Manager to launch a new content marketing strategy for select academic programs.
For our first piece, "How to Become a Teacher in Virginia," we chose a topic based on keyword research and data on external search queries. I worked with the academic coordinators to write a piece that highlighted our program's unique strengths while providing relevant, helpful information to our target audience. We launched the piece organically with a concurrent paid advertising campaign.
The piece resulted in first-page organic ranking on both Google and Bing, a 9.7% click-through rate on Google Ads and 1.8% click-through rate on Facebook, and a consistent and significant increase in both web traffic and program inquiries.
